Begin your trip with a short flight from Delhi to Jabalpur, a city that blends natural wonders with historic landmarks. Spend time exploring its picturesque waterfalls and ancient monuments before heading to Bandhavgarh for an immersive wildlife experience. From tiger safaris to tranquil temple tours, this itinerary ensures a mix of adventure, culture, and relaxation, creating memories to last a lifetime. 

The 7-Day Detailed Itinerary  

Day 1: Arrival in Jabalpur  

Fly from Delhi to Jabalpur, a city known for its natural beauty and cultural richness. There are only two flights available from Delhi in the early hours of the day. Make sure you make your bookings beforehand. After checking into your hotel, unwind and prepare for an exciting journey ahead. Spend some leisurely hours in the second half of the day in Jabalpur.  

Day 2: Exploring Jabalpur  

It’s going to be an interesting day in Jabalpur, as you will be engaged in marvelling at the jaw-dropping locations in the city. Dedicate your day to exploring Jabalpur’s major attractions:  

Marble Rocks at Bhedaghat  

Dhuandhar Waterfall  

Madan Mahal Fort  

Rani Durgavati Museum  

Chausath Yogini Temple  

Spend the evening watching the Narmada Aarti at Gwarighat for a spiritual experience before returning to your hotel.  

Day 3: Jabalpur to Bandhavgarh National Park  

Start your day early with a road trip to Bandhavgarh National Park, approximately 191 km from Jabalpur. The journey takes around 4-5 hours, offering stunning glimpses of Madhya Pradesh. Upon arrival, check into your wildlife resort, freshen up and get some rest. By the time you arrive in Bandhavgarh, the time for the morning jeep safari passes. Therefore, you will set on to explore Bandhavgarh with an evening jeep safari. This introductory Bandhavgarh jeep safari offers a glimpse of the park's flora and fauna. Call it a day on returning from the evening drive, which usually happens between 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Day 4: Exploring Bandhavgarh National Park  

Begin your day with an early morning safari, the best time to witness the unfiltered beauty of Bandhavgarh’s wildlife. The national park’s lush greenery and tranquil environment provide a perfect backdrop for spotting tigers, leopards, and a variety of bird species chirping and flying from their nests.  

After lunch and some relaxation at your resort, head out for another safari in the evening. The Bandhavgarh Fort and the Shesh Shaiya Statue located near the Khitauli Entry Gate are of special interest which you must visit during your safari drives. You will get goosebumps by visiting this unique location with a distinct aura.

Day 5: Bandhavgarh Morning Safari and Drive to Khajuraho  

Enjoy one last morning safari in Bandhavgarh before bidding farewell to the national park. Post-safari, drive to Khajuraho, approximately 6 hours away. Check into your hotel and relax for a while before beginning your exploration of Khajuraho’s stunning temples. Spend your evening visiting by visiting the light and sound show in the temple complex of Khajuraho. 

Day 6: Exploring Khajuraho 

Dedicate this day to exploring the Western Group of Temples, the Eastern and Southern Groups of Temples, a fascinating UNESCO World Heritage Site. These temples are known for their unique architecture and lesser-known yet equally mesmerizing carvings. Marvel at the intricate sculptures that depict a blend of spirituality, daily life, and celestial beings. The evening is free for you to indulge in some souvenir shopping and treating your taste buds with some local delicacies.

Day 7: Flying Back to Delhi

Conclude your journey by flying from Khajuraho to Delhi. There are only two direct flights available from Khajuraho. Both the flights are scheduled in the second half of the day. Therefore, you can relax in the morning and head towards the airport, checking out from the hotel.
